Elpida Autism Foundation

 

The Elpida Autism Foundation, founded in 2014, is an organization whose objective is to raise money for the Autism Research Centre at Holland Bloorview. The organizatoin has applied for chartible foundation status from the Government of Canada and is currently pending approval.  

 

The Elpida Gala is its largest annual fundraising event. 2016 will be its third year and to date we have raised over $150,000 towards Autism Research.

 

I am one of the founding members of the Elpida team and play an integral role in organizing the annual event. 

 

My roles include: 

 

Social Media Coordinator: I created and managed social media platforms and content. The Elpida social media pages are used as a platform to educate and raise awareness about Autism as well as share updates regarding event details such as ticket sales and sponsorships. 

 

Ticket sales increased significantly within a week of launching the social media pages.

 

Fundraising: I met with various individuals and organizations to promote the Elpida Autism Foundation in order to obtain corporate sponsorships. My team and I successfully secured two corporate sponsorships, yummi candles and OPA OPA band and DJ services.

 

Assisted in the design of the evening's agenda as well as the Elpida Autism Foundation logo.
